Join the Communist Party
Below is a form to contact our organisation, the Communist
Party of Great Britain. We are happy to deal with any questions and enquiries
about our organisation, but, of course, we also want you to think about not
simply being curious about the CPGB. We want you to seriously considering
committing to it as a member, to join us. And before you do, we also want you
to be absolutely clear about what that membership would entail.
First, you should read 'Frequently Asked Questions' in
this section. In this, we try to anticipate the grey areas comrades may have
about our organisation; this is based on our experience of what new potential
recruits most often bring up with us. We hope it helps you get a clearer idea
of who we are, what we do and why.
Membership is open to any comrade who:
- Accepts the CPGB’s
draft programme as the
basis for the united action of the organisation.
as a candidate member in the work of the party, under the collective
discipline of the relevant party committee or individual, for a minimum of
that period, participates in a study - along with other CPGB comrades - of
our Draft programme, as a basic introduction to the politics and
culture of our group.
- Pays regular dues at an agreed level.
Of course, we don’t have a ‘one size fits all’ approach to
support or our organisation. Comrades show their commitment at all sorts of
different levels and in different ways - as supporters, as sympathisers, as
candidate or full members. All play valuable roles and the practical support
they can give is valued tremendously.
When you send us your message, remember to include other
details you might think are relevant - for example, contact telephone numbers
and convenient times to call, political background and experience, particular
areas of expertise/interest, etc.
We look forward to hearing from you, comrade!
