Modest donorsAlthough our post has again been disappointing this week in respect of cheques and postal orders, the bank statement that came with yesterday's mail has reminded me that we have another source of income that deserves a mention. I am referring of course to those modest donors who ensure that regular contributions are paid directly to our account via standing order. Let me pay particular tribute to MM, who has just increased his gift to a magnificent £60 a month. Thank you, comrade. Thanks also to TD, AC and DO, whose donations also appear on the statement in front of me. As for the rest of my mailbag, pride of place goes to new subscriber LH for a very generous £30, while that old stalwart DG has not forgotten us and popped £20 in the post. All in all, I am pleased to say I can add £155 to our June fund, but unfortunately this still leaves the final total £40 short of target at £360 - a worrying shortfall in view of the fast-approaching holiday season.
