Guilty conscience

Our November fund has received a timely boost, with only a week to go before the end of the month. A raft of standing order donations have appeared on our latest bank statement, taking the total up to £295. But we still need another £135 to reach our monthly £400 target.

Included in the excellent £160 that landed in my in-tray this week were donations from PL and RF (£20 each), and DC (£10). RF, a member of the Scottish Socialist Party, comments: "I haven't sent you anything since the beginning of the year, so this cheque is as much to ease my conscience as it is to help you lot out."

If there are any other comrades with a guilty conscience out there, might I suggest that you try to assuage it within the next day or so. Pop your donation in the post and we will have every chance of making the full £400.
