No end of goodA much needed success. With a couple of days still to go before the end of our March fund, we have already passed the £400 target. Thanks to gifts from FG (£25), JK (£20), TR and CM (£10 each), not to mention a number of standing order payments from regular donors, we now have £428. I am hoping the post will bring in some more last-minute cheques and postal orders before April 1, which would do us no end of good in clearing the deficit we have built up so far this year. This is very encouraging, in view of the tasks facing the Weekly Worker in this pre-election period. We aim to put out a brighter, more varied and more interesting paper to match our partisan support for the Socialist Alliance campaign. Our comrades will be intensifying their work, but let's hope they - and our readers - remember that the Weekly Worker needs hard cash as well as articles, letters, photographs and interviews.
