We need your help

Our May fund has been badly hit by the postal strike. I know that many comrades have only just received last week’s copy of the Weekly Worker containing my appeal for a big final effort, and hopefully others will have sent off their cheques.

All the same, our shortfall as we go into June is worrying: just £383 raised in May - a deficit of over £100. But one comrade who was determined we would get his donation was PL. Knowing exactly what the situation would be regarding our mail, he thoughtfully handed over his cheque to a CPGB comrade in his local Socialist Alliance. And for good measure he doubled what he was originally intending to send us. Your £20 is gratefully received, comrade.

But now we need others to do their bit. We cannot rely on getting delayed contributions now the postal dispute is over. Nor can we afford to carry the shortfall - especially in this hectic election period.

We need your help.
