No matter how many votes he garners from the workers of Regent’s Park and North Kensington, Socialist Alliance candidate China Miéville will have chalked up one success. Our proletarian politician is the “sexiest man in politics”, according to a recent article in London’s Evening Standard. Given that we have clearly won one Standard hack’s heart, will their mind follow? Will Alex Renton admit to voting for socialism once the general election dust has settled? Unlikely.
