Salve your conscience

A whole batch of standing order payments have given our July fund a much needed boost before the holiday break (like many of our readers, Weekly Worker comrades will be taking a well deserved break during the first two weeks of August).

Our latest bank statement shows regular monthly donations from comrades MM, MH, SK, TD and AC - amounting to £110 in total for this week. I really can’t stress enough how valuable this way of supporting your paper is. Not only can I rely on a fair proportion of our financial requirements being met, but contributors to our fund can make monthly payments automatically for whatever amount each month - and salve their consciences into the bargain!

The last seven days also saw donations arrive via Royal Mail - to the total of £85. All in all, a useful week, which takes us up to £272 towards our monthly £450 target. And that’s a target we really must achieve in full (hopefully with more than a little to spare) before we shut down next month.
