Stop the war

Better life

Canterbury has been in uproar since the visit of Tony Blair for the Archbishop of Canterbury’s enthronement. Anti-war protestors staged a noisy demonstration and one person allegedly threw an egg at Blair’s car. For exercising his freedom of political expression Thomas Redmond was arrested and hauled before magistrates at Margate on March 6.

What Blair seems to think is that we will believe everything he tells us. But two million people turned out on London’s streets and the large majority of Britain does not want war. That is why I am organising a walkout at my school. Not because we are supporting Saddam Hussein, but because war on Iraq is unjust for any reason. Let alone for cheap oil.

The spin and lies no longer work on us. The people are starting to rise. We need to make ourselves known amongst the crowd. This is our time to take to the front and guide Britain to a better way of life. Take the initiative and help spark the revolution.
