Summer Offensive

Appreciated
Another month gone, another shortfall. Not the first of the year by any means, although, to be fair, we have had one or two surpluses as well.

Our November fund ended with £423 - despite a last-minute burst a good way short of our £500 target. Special thanks to comrades NB and VC for their sterling efforts. However, things are looking up as we start December - and they need to, believe you me. Comrade TR has once again come up with a hefty cheque - £55 for the fund after deductions for sales. And my postbag also produced £30 from RT and £20 from BH. Thank you all. Already our December total has reached £105.

No internet donations this week, I’m afraid. Which is a pity, since I know how much the Weekly Worker is appreciated. After we cleared up our technical problems and issue 506 was posted, 1,908 pdf versions were downloaded within two days. We are very pleased, of course, but we only wish some of those web readers would use our PayPal facility. Last week a total of 9,523 visitors logged on to www.cpgb.org.uk and read the e-version. This once again lifted our circulation comfortably over the 10,000 mark.
