Extra reliable

A couple of Weekly Worker stalwarts have come to the aid of the party this week, giving our September fund a timely boost. Comrade TR has once again come up with his regular cheque (£60 “for papers and fund”), while GL has sent us a handsome £50.

“Thanks for the insights you constantly provide,” writes the comrade in his accompanying letter. “Your coverage of the hurricane was spot on.” GL has now requested a standing order form, by the way, to save him the bother of writing a cheque every month. Thanks, comrade - those extra reliable donations are worth their weight in gold.

My mailbag contained £185 in all this week, taking our total to a much healthier £290 with half the month gone. But once again we have nothing to show from any of our 13,918 online readers over the last seven days. We could really do with a good few of them making use of our PayPal facility to help us break through our £500 target.

Robbie Rix

We particularly need standing orders to allow us to plan ahead in this fluid political situation. Click here to download an order form.
