I am happy to say that five people responded to my request to “hit the button” last week - they clicked on ‘Make a donation’ on our website, even though it was accidentally ‘disappeared’ for a while over the weekend!
So thank you, PP, OI, NJ, DT and DR for your modest but, collectively, more than useful gifts amounting to £30. I also had a cheque for twice that amount from our most regular and longstanding fighting fund supporter, TR, plus two smaller ones from comrades TF (£20) and SL (£10).
Then there were standing order donations amounting to £102, with pride of place going to RG (£50) and GD (£17). All that boosts our total by £222, to £582. But we need the full £1,000 by the end of the month, and I would prefer to have it in my hands a good few days before the 30th!
Comrade TF put in a little note with his cheque: “In appreciation of the Lars T Lih articles - keep it up!” Well, this week’s paper carries the last in the series, but I’m sure we’ll be publishing more pieces in the future arising from the comrade’s original research.
Anyone else want to show their appreciation?
