Fighting Fund
Promise
Robbie Rix wants those contributions as we go into November
A big thank you to all those who donated to our fighting fund this month. We have received a magnificent total of £1,414, representing the biggest ever monthly surplus over and above our £1,000 target. I reckon that extra £414 could just about get me that new computer I have been thinking out loud about!
Standing order contributions last week amounted to £305 - including SK’s hefty £230! Then there were two donations made via our website: SJ gave £25 and DB stumped up £20. Finally donations received at our stalls on Saturday’s Stop the War march totalled £32.
There is more good news to report as well. Our online readership is slowly increasing week by week. Over the last seven days there were 13,942 visitors and I am expecting the trend to continue when I report a total of over 14,000 this time next week.
Talking of our website, things are looking up in another sense: we are expecting our archives to be fully restored very soon. It has been a long job following the attack on cpgb.org.uk earlier in the year, but soon the site will be complete again and better than ever - promise!
But I am hoping to hear another promise - made collectively by our readers and supporters - to keep sending in those contributions as we go into November!
